The project first
started when Les Elvin, Community Artist, thought about setting up a Mural
Exchange project for local schools in Breightmet.

| The original artwork was then re created by Les and children on a metal shutter on local shops. | |

St. Andrew's School was then commissioned to design a large mural which depicts life in Bolton during Victorian Times and the Industrial Revolution. |
| Children started their designs to be sent electronically to Marina View School, Auckland, New Zealand. | |

Meanwhile, Les travels to New Zealand to visit relatives and Marina View School! |
