Here is a checklist of questions for use with an artwork shown to the child.  The questions can be adapted and amended to suit the needs of the child.

What kind of art is this?

Who made this art?

How was it made?

When was it made?   (was it made now or a long time ago?)

What colours can you see?

What patterns can you see?

What shapes can you see?

Do you like it?

What do you like about it?

What do you not like about it?

Have you made any artwork like this?

What did you think about your artwork?

What else do you know about this artist/period/kind of work?

Have you made any art work like this?

What did you think about your art work?
